This $500 Million Hotel In Dubai Comes With ‘In-Built Rainforests’ & ‘Robotic Hosts’

The 75,000 sq ft rainforest will also have a splash pool, adventure trails, a beach and streams

Dubai is one of the most visited tourist destinations in the world and this desert city surprises everybody with its collection of artificial islands, skyscrapers, underwater villas and even ski slopes! The city has been beautifully planned and allows you to enjoy skiing in the morning and browse the designer shops in the world’s biggest mall in the afternoon without much hassle. In 2018 travelers will get a unique opportunity to explore a rainforest right in the middle of this wonderful desert city.

In 2018 the Rosemont Hotel & Residences in Dubai will become the 1st hotel in the world with an inbuilt rainforest with water bodies and exotic trees. ZAS Architecture is responsible for the futuristic design of this hotel and it will reportedly cost GBP 230 million. The hotel will be operated by Hilton Worldwide and will have 450 rooms, spa, gym, a rooftop infinity pool and a world-class fine dining restaurant. Lest we forget, it will also have its very own aquarium and indoor rainforest. No wonder, it will be a unique and once-in-a-lifetime experience for the guests.

The rainforest is the main highlight of this hotel. It will be located inside a 5-storey podium right at the base of the two 47-storey towers. There will also be a gigantic screen that will display the huge vegetation or marine life right above the parking lot. The 75,000 sq ft rainforest will also have a splash pool, adventure trails, a beach, and streams but there is no confirmation on whether it will have a few critters and exotic creatures to make it more realistic and scare the unsuspecting visitors! The man-made jungle will offer a 360 degree experience right at the beginning known as the Rain Room where the travelers will get the sensation of being surrounded by rainfall and yet not get wet. The visitors will be able to see rain but they won’t get wet as there are sensors on the top which will stop the water flow in a 2m radius around the person who is walking in the room. It really sounds intriguing but if you still have real doubts then you may carry an umbrella along with you.

The CGIs which were released in February 2016 were pretty impressive, to say the least. The public areas of the hotel will be housed inside the 5-storey podium which has the rainforest. There will be mist sprays, an artificial beach, fish-filled streams, a fleet of luxury cars and a giant aquarium in the ceiling that can hold whale sharks! However, we must remember that CGIs does not transform into reality cent percent but even it comes close it will mean that there will be a huge queue of travelers looking for a chance to stay in this magnificent hotel.

Apart from the rainforest attraction the hotel will also feature a world-class bowling alley, Trampoline Park, a luxury cinema hall on the top floor, adventure play area for children and there is also a probability of robotic luggage handlers.

Dubai has sprung quite a few surprises in the last few years but the Rosemont Hotel & Residences probably takes the icing in the cake. The whole world is waiting for 2018 so that we get to see a glimpse of this gem of a hotel and attraction combined in one.
